August 28 - How to design a physical work environment that promotes health and wellbeing
Anna Bengtsson, lecturer at SLU

It is good for our health to be outdoors in nature, yet we spend a great deal of our time indoors, not least in the office. Restorative workplace is a project at SLU that aims at investigating how our physical work environment affects our working capacity, creativity and health. The idea is to integrate knowledge about the positive impact of natural impressions to create and develop workplaces, both in- and outdoor, that are a resource throughout the working day, for different types of work tasks as well as for rest and break.

How important is the adoption of technical innovations for agricultural businesses to become successful? 
Annie Drottberger, PhD student at SLU, focusing her research on diffusion of innovations and how different firms choose their strategies to develop their businesses. The latest study concerns Adoption of technical innovations in production of leafy vegetables in different production systems such as greenhouses, vertical farming systems and open field production. What can we learn from the case of sustainable horticulture and how can this be applied to other industries facing similar challenges on a more diverse market?
